Overview:

Montelukast is an Antiasthmatic drug that is a selective and orally active leukotriene receptor antagonist that inhibits the cysteinyl leukotriene (CysLT1) receptor.

Montelukast is indicated for the prophylaxis and chronic treatment of asthma in adults and pediatric patients.
